Introducing Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology — an advanced suite of standard and available driver-assist technologies that includes BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, Lane-Keeping System and Rear View Camera. Ford Transit Connect Passenger Wagon also makes additional technology available that is designed to help keep you in command, from the driveway to the highway.
If your vehicle is in Drive and moving slowly, forward sensors will sound a high-pitched beeping tone if something is there in front of you. The beeps will become more rapid as you approach an object, and within 12 inches they become a solid tone. The sensors turn off when you put your vehicle in Park or Neutral. The Reverse Sensing System works the same way using sensors in the rear bumper.
Standard side-wind stabilization technology* is designed to help reduce driver stress while operating a vehicle in high winds. The system monitors the sensors, and if a strong wind gust is detected, it carefully applies the brakes on one side to help the driver stay in his/her lane. It works alongside Roll Stability Control™ on slippery surfaces – to help avoid skids, lateral slides and potential vehicle rollovers.
The side-curtain airbags deploy downward and outward toward the side-window opening to protect the heads of front passengers. Roll-fold technology helps the airbag slide between the glass and the occupant as the airbag inflates. The airbags will not interfere with properly installed child-safety seats or booster seats and are designed to stay inflated longer for added protection in a rollover.*
Find enhanced control in slick conditions. RSC provides enhanced side-slip control and electronic rollover stability for the vehicle. It utilizes gyroscopic sensors to monitor vehicle roll motion and rate of turning in milliseconds. This helps determine when and how RSC will utilize the brakes to help keep all four wheels of the vehicle firmly planted.*
In the Automatic position, the available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps automatically turn on in low-light situations or when the wipers are activated. Standard on Titanium and available on XLT.
Standard on all Transit Connect Passenger Wagon models, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors air pressure amount for each tire and will illuminate a warning light on the cluster screen if the pressure in any one of your tires goes below the recommended tire inflation level*.
With personalized settings for two keys, this available smart technology lets you limit top speed as well as select speed alert chimes. You can also limit the radio volume to 45% and set the Belt-Minder® to chime, while muting the audio system, until the safety belt is buckled.
