High-Performance Braking

Brembo™ front and rear calipers with cross-drilled, two-piece, highly engineered brake rotors haul down the Shelby GT350® in a hurry. The front rotors measure 394 mm (15.5 inches) and in the back they’re 380 mm (14.9 inches). Use of aluminum hats in the rotors helps cut overall weight. The rotors are designed to store and dissipate braking energy during track use.

For this year, two trims are available: the base GT350 or the GT350R. Both come equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, a 5.2-liter V8 engine, and rear-wheel drive. Standard features that heighten the driving experience include Brembo brakes, a Torsen rear differential, adaptive suspension dampers, 19-inch wheels, and a front-suspension tower brace. Such components get enhanced on the GT350R, including a revised suspension tuning, 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels with Michelin tires, and a front chin splitter. Also, one of the significant differences between the two trims is that the GT350R does not include a rear seat. The keyless entry and ignition make sitting behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel even faster to enjoy the comfortable cabin. Infotainment such as Bluetooth, smartphone apps, and a Track Apps performance telemetry get presented on a 4.2-inch display. Adding an optional package for a bigger touchscreen, more speakers, or upgraded leather upholstery are available for both trims.
